History

The Department of Information Management was established at the same time with Diwan College of Management in September, 2000. In October 2010, the Diwan College of Management was upgraded and renamed Taiwan Shoufu University. According to the industrial policy of Taiwan government, the social trends in Taiwan, TSU set an development objective to become a teaching type university specializing in leisure industries.

To respond to the development objective of TSU and to establish a unique feature among enormous information related departments, the Department of Information Management was reorganized and renamed the Department of Leisure and Information Management (Dept. of LIM).

The Dept. of LIM is the first and only department in Taiwan that specializing in the information application of leisure industries, and is objective to become the nurturing cradle of information management talent for leisure industries. The Dept. of LIM has eight classes in the day division and three classes in the night division.
